Mbappe can leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer even after he signed a new contract just 12 months ago. The France captain is out of contract in 2024 after informing the Ligue 1 champions that he will not be taking up the option of extending his stay for an extra year.
That leaves the club with a decision over whether to sell now or allow him to leave for free next summer. Real Madrid seems like an obvious destination but there could well be interest from Premier League clubs, as well as teams outside Europe

Guardiola has ruled out the prospect of Mbappe attaching Man City this summer. Real Madrid remains the choice for his signature and the former Barcelona boss has hinted that is where the French star intends to end up. Guardiola told El Chiringuito said: “We will not sign Mbappe, he’s not joining Man City, all of you know where he wants to go.”

La Liga presidentTebas expects Mbappe to leave Paris Saint Germain this summer. Tebas, in his comment, says Mbappe’s transfer value means the Ligue 1 champions will look to use a sale to balance their books.
He said: “If you ask me as a fan, I think Mbappe will leave Paris Saint Germain this season because in UEFA there is more financial control and his salary is very high. Paris Saint Germain have to sell.”

Mbappe has given confirmation of his desire to not leave Paris Saint-German next season, after stating that he will not extend his contract with the club. Hours after confirming that he had no wish to remain in Paris before 2024, the message was forwarded to Twitter to deny the report that he wishes to leave to join Real Madrid. He said accordingly in his statement: “Lies…I have already said that I will continue next season at Paris Saint-German, where I am very happy.”
