Updates and fight results will be shown below.

– Flyweight perspective Yaniel Rivera (7-0, 3 KOs) stopped previously undefeated Angel Gonzalez (14-1, 7 KOs) in the fourth round. Rivera dropped Gonzalez, 31, three times in the fight.
Once in the third round with a right hook, a second time with a left to the body in the fourth round, and then one final time with an accumulation of blows. Referee Luis Pabon then stopped the match after the third knockdown.

“I want to say thank you to everyone here. I think this fight showed that I am ready for any champion. I want to be closer to a world title,” Rivera said. “I promised throughout my camp that I would put on a great fight and a great show.”

2020 Olympian Rivera appears ready to challenge for a world title. He’s 27 years old and has a lot of amateur experience, and it would be interesting to see him take on one of the flyweight champions.

Augustine Ezequiel Quintana (21-2-1, 13 KOs) pulled off a big upset, beating one of Matchroom Boxing’s biggest prospects, lightweight Marc Castro (13-1, 8 KOs), winning a 10-round split decision in the first fight of the main paper. Former amateur star Castro, 25, has taken the first hits with his volume.

The scores:

– 97-93: Quintana
– 96-94: Castro
– 96-94: Quintana

Quintana entered in the second half, using pressure and hard punches to hurt Castro with big shots in the eighth round. He also dominated the ninth, connecting on hard pitches that repeatedly snapped Castro’s head back. In the tenth, Castro pushed Quintana into the ropes, using his upper body strength to keep him pinned for most of the round.

The ring sponsorship emblem was a slipping hazard throughout the contest, causing both fighters to repeatedly slip on it, forcing them to fight near the ropes. This could play into the hands of main event fighter Liam Paro tonight in his match against skilled boxer Richardson Hitchins.

Hitchins: A star in the making?

Richardson has the charisma and amateur pedigree to be a star in the light welterweight division. We don’t know if it’s tough enough. Tonight, Hitchins will demonstrate whether he has the grit to take on a fighter, Paro, who throws the rules out the window when he fights.

The undercard is full of prospects rather than having guys on the verge of a world title, but it’s understandable why Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn chose to make these fights. The event will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, so he chose fights that would resonate with audiences rather than ones that off-island fans would be interested in watching.

This is the coming out party for Hitchins, who is looking to transform himself into a star with an impressive win over Paro (25-0, 15 KOs). The event will be broadcast live on DAZN at 7pm ET. Many fans see Paro as too feisty for Hitchins, who looked uncomfortable in his last fight when pressured by Gustavo Lemos.

The preliminary card begins at 3:30 PM ET below
